Report on PSF Flood Relief Activities in Flood Affected Areas from 20th Aug to 7th Sep 2010

Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is one of the leading S&T organizations of Ministry of Science and Technology for promotion of science and technology in the country. PSF has two subsidiary organizations, viz., Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) and Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH). PSF and PASTIC respectively have eight Science Caravans and six sub-centers in the four provinces and AJ&K for the spread of S & T to the masses.

Currently Pakistan is undergoing a huge natural disaster in the form of floods and large areas have been affected and the infrastructure destroyed. Over 2.0 million people are reported to have been affected and it is every body’s responsibility to help people in the catastrophe. Therefore, Pakistan Science Foundation and its subsidiary organizations also initiated relief activities within their means.
