1. Develop a National S&T/R&D Information Repository of indigenous information resources (databases).
2. Disseminate S&T/R&D information through contemporary information services & tools.
3. Strengthen National Science Reference Library through resource sharing & Inter-library collaborations (consortium) and empowerment of information professionals.
4. Promotion of R&D based industrial development.
5. Develop collaborations with national and international information networks.
6. Facilitate printing of S&T/R&D Publications.
7. Capacity/skill development of researchers & entrepreneurs.
