ISLAMABAD, November 5, 2025 — The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) National Centre successfully organized the 58th Batch of SPSS Training, a one-day hands-on workshop on Data Analysis Using SPSS, at PASTIC National Centre, Islamabad, on the invitation of the QAU Science Society as part of the ongoing All Students’ Science Festival (ASSF) 2025.
A total of 25 participants from various departments of QAU and the International Islamic University (IIU) attended the workshop. The training covered fundamental concepts of data analysis, including setting up data files, managing different data types, performing data cleaning operations such as transformations and missing value analysis, and generating descriptive statistics. Participants were also introduced to the basics of inferential statistics. The session aimed to equip students and researchers with essential skills to effectively manage and analyze research data using SPSS software.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Saifullah Azim, Principal System Analyst, PASTIC National Centre, highlighted the importance of such training programs, stating:
