Pakistan Science and Technology Information Centre (PASTIC) successfully concluded the 1st Batch of a three-day training workshop on “AI & Data Sciences – Advancing Research Across All Sciences.” The hands-on training workshop was held from 15–17 April 2025 at PASTIC National Centre, QAU Campus, Islamabad, designed to empower researchers, students, and professionals across disciplines to harness the power of AI and data science.
This initiative is part of PASTIC's mission to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technologies and researchers across all domains, enabling them to leverage AI and data science in their scientific work. 39 participants from prestigious institutions such as Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), International Islamic University (IIU), Health Services Academy (HSA), FAST-NUCES, Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), and others actively participated, showcasing their commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
The workshop highlighted how Artificial Intelligence and Data Science can be integrated into natural, social, and applied sciences to enhance research capabilities, extract meaningful insights from data, and support evidence-based decision making.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing participants’ dedication and newly acquired skills. Special thanks to Mr. Rana Zia Javid Joyia, Chief Librarian, QAU, Islamabad, for attending the closing ceremony and sharing his thoughts regarding PASTIC’s training programs.
