Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) is a premier organization in the country for collection and dissemination of scientific & technological information for catering the information needs of scientists, researchers, academicians, industrialists, entrepreneurs, planners, and policy makers, etc.

PASTIC organized three days training workshop on “Research Tools and Techniques (SPSS)” held from September 28-30, 2022 at I.T lab of PASTIC National Centre, Islamabad. Objective to organize this workshop was to enhance the research capabilities of research scholars and students. Mr. Muhammad Usman was the Resource Person and Thirty (30) research scholars/ students from Quaid e Azam University attended the training workshop.

SPSS Statistics is the world’s leading statistical software. It enables you to quickly dig deeper into your data, making it a much more effective tool than spreadsheets, databases or standard multi-dimensional tools for analysis. SPSS Statistics excels at making sense of complex patterns and associations— enabling users to draw conclusions and make predictions professionally.

At the end of the training workshop, participants were equipped to have basic knowledge regarding significance of statistical software, its importance for the research, and to identify how to analyze and interpret data professionally.

Director General PASTIC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh attended the closing session as Chief Guest. He briefly introduced the different PASTIC services and explained the objective to organize such training workshops. At the end of the session, Chief Guest, Director General, PASTIC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh distributed the training certificates amongst the participants.
