A one-day Technology & Innovation Support Centre (TISC) Seminar titled “Significance of Intellectual Property Rights & Patents in Engineering Sector,” was jointly organized on March 21, 2019 by PASTIC, ORIC- UET Mardan and IPO-Pakistan. A total of 67 researchers along with their faculty members attended the session. After recitation of The Holy Quran, Mrs. Ghazala Ali Khan, Dy. Director (STI), PASTIC Sub-Centre, Peshawar briefed the audience about the PASTIC Services. After this, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Manager ORIC University of Peshawar delivered a comprehensive talk on Significance of Intellectual Property Rights & Patents particularly in the domains of patents & trademarks in Engineering Sector.

The seminar was also attended by Prof. Dr. Sadaqat Jan, (Dean), Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, (Chairman Computer Science Department), Dr. Mohammad Sohail Khan, Engr. Shaharyar, Lecturer from Computer software engineering, Dr. Muhammad Usman (Registrar), Engr. Sheraz Khan from electrical department, Engr. Dr. Naveed Mufti (Director ORIC), Dr. Murtaza Ali (Assistant Professor), Engr. Sajjad Ali (Lecturer) from Tele communication Engineering.

Question-Answer session was also held at the end of presentations, and certificates were distributed among the participants. Finally, the shields were awarded to the management and organizers. PASTIC Services brochures were also distributed among the participants whom they filled as per need of their research work.
