A PASTIC Orientation Session titled “NAVIGATE PASTIC – Your Gateway to Scientific Information and Research Resources” was held on 30 September 2026 at the NCE in Physical Chemistry, University of Peshawar. The session was specifically organized for M.Phil./Ph.D. scholars and faculty members, with the objective of introducing participants to PASTIC’s scientific information services, research resources, databases, and facilities available to support researchers and scholars.
The session was delivered by Dr. Ghazala Ali Khan, Additional Director (STI), PSF–PASTIC Regional Office Peshawar. The presentation highlighted the role of PASTIC as a gateway to scientific and technical information and provided an overview of the resources and services that can assist researchers at different stages of their research work.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of accessing reliable scientific information, identifying relevant research resources, and utilizing available information services to support literature review, research planning, documentation, and scholarly activities.
The interactive nature of the session provided participants with an opportunity to understand how PASTIC services and resources can be utilized more effectively for their academic and research needs.
Post-Event Meeting & Future Collaboration
Following the session, a meeting was held with Prof. Dr. Salma Bilal, Director, NCE in Physical Chemistry, in the presence of faculty members. She appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in continued collaboration between NCE in Physical Chemistry and PSF–PASTIC Regional Office Peshawar. It was agreed in principle to explore joint activities, orientation sessions, research-support initiatives, and other collaborative programs for the benefit of students, M.Phil./Ph.D. scholars, and faculty.
