Quetta, 27 August 2026: The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC),Sub-Centre Quetta, under the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), successfully organized a one-day training workshop on “Digital Tools & AI in Teaching and Training.”
The workshop aimed to enhance participant's understanding of emerging digital technologies and artificial intelligence and their practical applications in modern teaching, learning, and professional training environments.
More than 70 participants from across Balochistan, including teachers, professors, researchers, faculty members, and senior officers, attended the workshop. The strong participation reflected the growing interest of academic and professional communities in adopting AI-powered tools and innovative digital approaches to improve education and training.
Prof. Dr. Hummayun Shahwani, Deputy Dean, Faculty of ICT, BUITEMS, highlighted the increasing importance of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in modern education. He emphasized that the effective integration of these technologies can improve teaching practices, enhance learning experiences, and help educators respond to the changing requirements of contemporary education.
Dr. Saeed Ahmed Magsi, Resource Person, conducted a practical and interactive session on the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence in teaching and training. The session provided participants with useful insights into how modern technologies can support educators and trainers in developing engaging content, improving productivity, and strengthening the overall learning process.
The participants actively engaged in the workshop and appreciated PASTIC and BUITEMS for organizing a timely and valuable capacity-building initiative. They expressed their hope that more such programs would be arranged in Balochistan in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital technology, research, and modern teaching methodologies.
The workshop was successfully organized through the dedicated efforts of Mr. Abdul Khalique Sial, Regional Incharge, PASTIC Sub-Centre Quetta, and Mr. Syed Ullah Dad Shah, Chief Organizer. Their commitment and coordination played an important role in ensuring the successful conduct of the training program.
