PASTIC Regional Office Faisalabad, in collaboration with MNS-University Multan, successfully organized a webinar titled “Learn Smart Reference Management with Mendeley” on January 27, 2026.
Aligned with PASTIC’s mandate to support researchers through access to scientific and technological information and capacity-building initiatives, the webinar aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in efficient literature organization, accurate citation, and streamlined referencing—key elements for improving research productivity and quality.
Dr. Maryam Ibrar, Additional Director (Publication), PASTIC Islamabad, served as the resource person. She delivered a practical, step-by-step session on discovering relevant scholarly literature, organizing and annotating references, generating citations and bibliographies, and using Mendeley effectively. The session also highlighted how researchers can benefit from PASTIC’s information services and resources to support literature search and research documentation.
The webinar was attended by around 48 participants, including faculty members, researchers, and students from MNS-University Multan. An interactive Q&A segment enabled participants to seek guidance on real research workflow challenges and best practices for reference management.
PASTIC continues to promote research excellence by equipping scholars with modern tools and skills for high-quality scientific communication.
