PASTIC National Center Hosts Webinar on “Research / Scientific Paper Writing With LaTeX – Most Widely Used Software For Research Writing”

Islamabad, February 06, 2026 — The PASTIC National Center, Islamabad organized an online webinar titled “Research / Scientific Paper Writing With LaTeX – Most Widely Used Software For Research Writing” on February 06, 2026. The webinar was attended by 76 participants, including researchers, faculty members, and students from various universities and research organizations across the country.


The objective of the webinar was to provide participants with an introductory and comprehensive understanding of LaTeX, a widely used document preparation system for scientific and academic writing. The session highlighted the importance of LaTeX in preparing research papers, and technical documents with precision, consistency, and professional formatting.


The webinar covered the following key areas:

  • Basic LaTeX document structure
  • Preparation of tables, figures, and mathematical equations
  • References and citation management
  • Practical demonstrations and exercises

  • The interactive nature of the session facilitated constructive discussions and hands-on learning opportunities. The training session enabled participants to develop foundational skills required for effective use of LaTeX in academic and scientific documentation.


    Participants were also informed about an upcoming two-day on-site LaTeX training program, which aims to further enhance practical document preparation skills for research and academic purposes.


    This initiative is part of PASTIC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen research capacity in Pakistan by providing quality training programs and promoting the adoption of modern scientific tools.
