A two-day workshop on "Make your Research Life easier with Mendeley tool" was organized by PASTIC-Islamabad in collaboration with Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering, IIUI at IIU, Islamabad on May 11-12, 2016.

The key objective of the training was to enable the researchers with fundamentals of citation. The training focused on a free citation tool named Mendeley -a cross-platform application (Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone) that helps researchers manage and annotate their Scienti?c paper collections. A total of 37 researchers from department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, IIUI alongwith 04 faculty members attended the workshop.

Dr Tehmina Amjad, Asstt. Professor, Department of CS & SE, IIUI, briefly introduced about the workshop. Dr Maryum Ibrar Shinwari (SSIO-PASTIC) introduced PASTIC particularly with respect to the needs of research students of M.Phil & PhD level. She demonstrated search through different databases of PASTIC over its webpages for the interest of researchers. After this presentation, Dr. Maryum Ibrar Shinwari, introduced the key features of MENDELEY. At the end of workshop for assessment pupose the post training form was distributed among participants.

At the end of workshop Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sher, Dean, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences and Dr Hasnain Naqvi, Chairperson Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering distributed shields & certificates among resource persons and participants.
