1st Workshop on "Developing Industry Driven Technologies" Organized at Lahore

Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC), Islamabad, Institute of Research Promotion (IRP), Lahore have planned to organize a series of workshops on "Developing Industry Driven Technologies" at universities across Pakistan to orient researchers about approaches and practices used in industry driven technologies as well as to train them how technologies are being planned, developed and commercialized.

In this Series 1st One-day Training Workshop was organized on “Developing Industry Driven Technologies “in collaboration with ORIC-UMT and IRP at the University of Management Technology, Lahore on September 22, 2014.

Director General PASTIC, Prof. Dr. M. Akram Shaikh, CEO, IRP, Dr. Abid Sherwani, Rector University of Management Technology, Lahore, Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad, Director ORIC, University of Management Technology, Lahore, and 30-35 participants from Universities/R&D organizations participated in the workshop. The workshop was based on case studies of industrial projects developed through identification, planning, lab works, pilot testing and production scale of different industrial products.
