PASTIC Sub Centre participated in the above cited conference from dated December 1-3, 2010 at University of Peshawar.
The Conference was started by the recitation of Holy Quran. Dr. Yaseen Iqbal PMS President &  Principal Organizer briefly talked about the aims and objectives of the conference where as Prof. Dr. Fazal-Ur-Rahman, Director, Institute of Physics and Electronics UOP delivered the welcome address. Qazi Muhammad Assad Provincial Minister for Education KPK was the chief guest of inaugural ceremony.
During the conference 31 different presentations was delivered by the researchers and faculty members of different reputable S&T organizations and Institutions from all over Pakistan & they discussed their work regarding New Techniques & Methods in Material Science.
A total of 60 participants from different Universities, S&T organizations and institutions attended the conference.
Deputy Director PASTIC delivered her presentation on the 2nd day of conference.  The title of her presentation was "PASTIC and its S&T information Services". The presentation was designed to explain the young scholars about the PASTIC anticipatory S&T information services including a) to get access to their relevant bibliographic literature search by the keywords. b) to avail document supply service at highly subsidized rates. c) to utilize science reference library. d) PASTIC publications.
At the end of the presentation a very effective question answer session was held where the participants ask number of questions regarding PASTIC services. All the participants appreciated the efforts of PASTIC for the researchers.
Beside this PASTIC Peshawar also arranged a stall and 44 participant's registered themselves as a free member of PASTIC.
Prof. Dr. Azmat Hayat Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar KPK was the chief guest of closing ceremony. He appreciates the efforts of Society to arrange such a beneficial conference.
