PASTIC in collaboration with IRP, PSF, University of Balochistan and PCST organized Innovation to Invention summit at University of Balochistan on May 4-5, 2016. The main objective of the summit was to minimize the gap between Universities & Industries by bringing together the renowned academicians and representatives of the industry on one platform. More than 500 scientists, scholars and industrialists participated from Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab.

Mr. Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Governor, Balochistan was the chief Guest of the Inaugural Session. He appreciated the efforts of all partners in organizing such a mega event. He emphasized the need of inducting more research by the HEIs in order to streamline the industry-academia horizon. Mr. Fazal Abbas Mekan, Secretary, MoST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman, PSF, Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan, Dr. Anwar-ul-Hassan Gilani, Chairman PCST and Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro, President ECO-SF were the Guests of Honor.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman, PSF, in his address presented the contribution of PSF in the education and development sectors in terms of cost. He also advised various dignitaries to get registered with PSF incentives and assured that PSF will fully support them in all forms. A total of 100 technologies, 200 prototypes on stalls, 200 posters on stalls were presented. More than 100 scientists presented their technologies in the technical sessions. At the closing session, Dr. Javed Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan gave the vote of thanks and distributed the certificates and shields among best participants and organizers.
