Celebration of World BOOK & Copyright Day at Faisalabad

World Book and Copyright Day (also known as International Day of the Book or World Book Day) is a yearly event on April 23rd, organized by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright. PASTIC-Faisalabad was celebrated the World Book and Copyright Day in collaboration with National Textile Institute University, Faisalabad at NTU-Faisalabad on April 22, 2016.

The day was celebrated by organizing PASTIC Services Stall, a walk from Library NTU to Rector Office and a Seminar “Promoting Book Culture”. A number of students, researchers and faculty members visited the stall and submitted their research topics and participated in the Walk and Seminar.

Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector, NTU was the Chief Guest of this event. He inaugurated the PASTIC services stall by cutting ribbon along with faculty members and students. Later on the walk started from Library NTU and ended at Rector Office. During the seminar, Mr. Muhammad Hasnain, STI, Faisalabad emphasized the importance of the World Book and Copy Right Day and also provided the information about PASTIC Services, activities. At the end Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Rector, NTU, addressed the participants. During his remarks, he explained the importance of Books/Libraries for the researchers and institutions.
