On the directives of Chairman PSF, Ms. Ghazala Ali
Khan, Deputy Director (STI), PASTIC Sub-Center
Peshawar, participated in 52nd BOG online Meeting
at the National Centre of Excellence in Geology,
University of Peshawar on May 20, 2020. Rest of the
members included Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan (Vice
Chancellor UOP), Prof. Dr. Qasim Jan (Subject
Expert), Dr. Tahseen Ullah Khan (Subject Expert,
Bahria University Islamabad), Prof. Dr. Sarfarz
Solangi (Subject Expert, University of Sindh,
Jamshoro), Ms. Noshaba Awais (Director Research,
Development & Commercialization, HEC
Islamabad), Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Ahmad
(Associate Prof. Department of Geology & Nominee
of Syndicate, UOP), and Dr. Iffat Tabassum
(Chairperson Geography Department and Nominee
of the Academic Council, UOP).
Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST) granted
one year extension in PSDP under process Library
Project entitled, “Modernization of PASTIC National
Science Reference Library for effective Resource
Sharing among S&T Libraries of Pakistan”.
PASTIC new Development Project titled,
“Development of National Digital Archives of
Research Published in Pakistani Journals” has been
approved by the DDWP, Ministry of Information
Technology.

Bibliographic/Document Supply Section supplied 144
Bibliographies and 1431 Documents/Articles to 87
students and R&D Researchers from various universities
and R&D organizations.
Technology Information Service
Technology/Patent Information Section supplied 16
documents to R&D Researchers.
Reprographic/Printing Service
Reprographic Section has completed the job of
printing office folders for the Office of the Honorable
Federal Minister, Ministry of Science & Technology.
Technology Round up 2020, Vol.12 (2) has been
uploaded on PASTIC website.
The data collection for next issue May-June 2020,
Vol. 12 (3), has been initiated.
1500 records from database of Pakistan Science
Abstracts have been verified during the month.
New information has been added on the recently
developed COVID-19 S&T Information Portal, and
so it has been updated.
