Online Workshop on “Management by
using Mendeley - Reference Management
Software'' at National Textile University
Faisalabad
PASTIC Sub-Centre Faisalabad organized a one-day
online workshop on "Management by using
Mendeley - Reference Management Software'' on
October 21, 2020 at National Textile University
Faisalabad (NTU). Total 16 participants from NTU
participated in the workshop.

Glimpses of the online workshop:-
The Session was started with the recitation from the
Holy Quran, followed by welcome address by
D e p u t y D i r e c t o r PA S T I C F a i s a l a b a d . T h e
presentation/training on the workshop was delivered
by the Resource Person, Dr. Maryam Ibrar Shinwari,
Senior Scientific Information Officer, PASTIC
Islamabad. Concluding remarks were delivered by
Dr. Ahsan Nazir, Director ORIC NTU, he highlighted
the importance of the workshop for R&D
workers/scientists, and the role of research and
development in the promotion of scientists.

of Engineering and Information
Technology (KFUEIT) Faisalabad
PASTIC Sub-Centre Faisalabad organized a one-day
online workshop on "Management by using
Mendeley - Reference Management Software'' on
October 22, 2020 at Khwaja Fareed University of
Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT)
Raheem Yar Khan. Total 31 participants from
KFUEIT participated in the workshop. The session
was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran,
followed by welcome address by Deputy Director
PASTIC Faisalabad. The presentation/training on
workshop was delivered by the Resource Person, Dr.
M a r y a m I b r a r S h i n w a r i , S e n i o r S c i e n t i fi c
Information Officer, PASTIC Islamabad. Concluding
remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Eng. Saif ur
Rehman, Director ORIC KFUEIT, by highlighting
the importance of the workshop for R&D
workers/scientists and the role of research and
development in promotion of scientists.

Awareness Seminar “Introducing
Indigenous Research Resources Developed
by PASTIC for Faculty Members &
PhD Scholars” on October 28, 2020
at Central Library University of
Agriculture , Faisalabad
The Session was started with the recitation from the
Holy Quran, followed by welcome address by Mr.
Muhammad Umar Farooq, Chief Librarian UAF,
followed by introductory remarks by Muhammad
Hasnain, Deputy Director PASTIC Faisalabad. The
presentation/training on the workshop was delivered
by Resource Person Syed Habib Akhtar Jafery,
Principal Librarian PASTIC Islamabad.
PASTIC Sub-Centre Faisalabad organized a one-day
online workshop on “Introducing Indigenous
Research Resources Developed by PASTIC for
Faculty Members & PhD Scholars” on October 28,
2020 at Central Library, University of Agriculture,
Faisalabad. Total 30 participants from UAF
participated in the workshop.

Members & PhD Scholars” on October 29, 2020 at
Central Library Ayub Agriculture Research Institute
(AARI), Faisalabad. Total 35 participants from AARI
participated in the workshop.

Seminar on “Consortium of S&T and
R&D Libraries of Pakistan (CSTRDLP)”
at Central Library, University of AJK
The Session was started with the recitation from the
Holy Quran, followed by welcome address by Ch.
Muhammad Nadeem Sr. Librarian AARI followed by
introductory remarks by Muhammad Hasnain,
D e p u t y D i r e c t o r PA S T I C F a i s a l a b a d . T h e
presentation/training on the workshop was delivered
by Resource Person, Syed Habib Akhtar Jafery,
Principal Librarian PASTIC Islamabad.
PASTIC Sub-Centre Muzaffarabad and Central
Library University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir,
jointly organized a one-day Seminar on “Consortium
of S&T and R&D Libraries of Pakistan (CSTRDLP)”
on October, 16, 2020 at Central Library, University of
AJK. Total 45 participants attended this Seminar.

National Centre Islamabad was the resource person.

the University of Haripur
PASTIC Sub-Centre Peshawar organized a one-day
SEminar on “Introducing Indigenous Research
Resources Developed by PASTIC for Faculty
Members & PhD Scholars” on October 28, 2020 at
the University of Haripur. Total 50 participants from
University of Haripur participated in the workshop.
The Session was started with the recitation from the
Holy Quran, followed by welcome address by
Muhammad Shafiq ur Rehman (Director ORIC
UOH), followed by introductory remarks by Ms.
Ghazala Ali Khan, Deputy Director PASTIC
Peshawar. The presentation in the Seminar was
delivered by Resource Persons, Mr. Saifullah Azim,
Principal System Analyst and Ms. Ghazala Ali Khan,
Deputy Director PASTIC Peshawar. Concluding
remarks were delivered by Vice Chancellor
University of Haripur, Prof. Dr. Anwar ul Hassan
Gilani, and he highlighted the importance of the
workshop for R&D workers/Scientists. He also shed
light on the role of research and development in
promotion of scientists. He also appreciated
University of Haripur and PASTIC efforts to hold this
successful workshop.

Abasyn University, Peshawar. Total 100 participants
from UAF participated in the Seminar. The
presentations on the topics were delivered by
Resource Persons, Mr. Saifullah Azim, Principal
System Analyst and Ms. Ghazala Ali Khan, Deputy
Director PASTIC. Concluding remarks were
delivered by Dr. Zubia Afsheen, (HOD and
Coordinator of Abasyn University). She highlighted
t h e i m p o r t a n c e o f w o r k s h o p f o r R & D
workers/Scientists. She also shed light on the role of
research and development in promotion of scientists.

2020 at National Center of Excellence in Physical
Chemistry, University of Peshawar. Total 50
