Workshop on “Amazon Private Label and
Wholesale Business" at Sargodha Chamber
of Commerce & Industry (SCCI)
The session was started with the recitation from the
Holy Quran, followed by welcome address by Mr.
Asif Ameer, President SCCI.
PASTIC organized an online training workshop on
“Amazon Private Label and Wholesale Business" on
August 26, 2021 at Sargodha Chamber of Commerce
& Industry (SCCI). The workshop participants
included 40 participants from Business community
Sargodha and surroundings.

At the end, certificates were distributed by Khawaja
Faisal Razzaq, Chairman R&D Committee of SCCI

Engineering and Technology (RCET) Gujranwala,
jointly organized a Webinar on “Literature searching
Techniques Citation Management by Zotero
Software” on August 25, 2021.
The workshop participants included 50 researchers
and students, from RCET, Gujranwala. The session
was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran
followed by welcome address by Dr. Ubaid Ullah
G h o r i , H e a d D e p a r t m e n t o f I n d u s t r i a l &
Manufacturing Engineering. He introduced RCET,
and underlined its role in quality education, and role
of Pakistan Science Foundation / PASTIC in capacity
building of researchers.
Mr. Ali Raza Khan, Additional Director (STI),
PASTIC Sub-center Lahore, gave a detailed
presentation about PASTIC Services, and explained
about Zotero as Bibliographic Management Citation
tool. Mr. Nadeem Sohail, Deputy Manager Library,
University of Management & Technology (UMT)
Lahore, was the resource person. He gave a detailed
presentation on the subject cited topic of the webinar.
PASTIC Sub-Centre Karachi organized an online
training Workshop on “Learn Data Analysis with
SPSS" on August 26, 2021 at PASTIC Sub-Centre
Karachi. The webinar participants included 100
researchers / faculty members and librarians from
various universities and R&D Institutions from
Sindh, Punjab, KPK and Baluchistan. The session
was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran,
followed by welcome address by Ms. Afsheen Tariq,
Assistant Director (STI), PASTIC Sub-Centre
Karachi. She also delivered detailed presentation
about PASTIC services and its new S&T and R&D
d a t a b a s e s , t h r o u g h PA S T I C w e b s i t e w i t h
documentary video of PASTIC/PSF. Dr. Maryam
Ibrar, Additional Director (STI) from PASTIC
National Center Islamabad, was the resource person
of the workshop. She gave a detailed presentation and
hands-on training on the above topic.

Webinar on "COVID-19 Pandemic Impact on
Health, Education and Society" at Karachi
PASTIC Sub-Centre Karachi organized a Webinar on
"COVID-19 Pandemic Impact on Health, Education
and Society" on August 12, 2021 at PASTIC Sub-
Centre Karachi. The webinar participants included
100 researchers / faculty members from various
universities and R&D Institutions from Sindh,
Punjab, KPK and Baluchistan. The session was
started with the recitation from the Holy Quran,
followed by welcome address by Ms. Afsheen Tariq,
Assistant Director (STI), PASTIC Sub-Centre
Karachi. She also delivered detailed presentation
about PASTIC services and PASTIC's Covid-19 S&T
information portal, through PASTIC website, with
documentary video of PASTIC / PSF. Dr Samiyah
Tasleem, CEO (Pakistan Education and Health
Consultant Group)/ Consultant Trainer, Center of
Innovation and Transformation, was the resource
person of the webinar. She gave a detailed
presentation about the above topic.

PASTIC Sub-Centre Quetta organized PASTIC
Services Stall at Biochemistry Department,
University of Baluchistan on August 27, 2021.
1. Ms. Afsheen Tariq, Assistant Director (STI),
PASTIC Sub-Center Karachi, participated in an
online information session on “Face Covid” on
August 6, 2021 using Google meet Video
Conferencing. The event was organized by ORIC
University of Karachi, at the University of Karachi.
Dr. Minhaj A. Qidwai, Health Care Management
Consultant, was the Speaker of the session. He gave
brief presentation about how to face Covid in the
current situation.
2. Ms Afsheen Tariq, Assistant Director (STI),
PASTIC Sub-Center Karachi, participated in an
online Seminar on “Synthesis Characterization and
Evaluation of Drug delivery Potential of Supra
molecular Amphiphilic Macrocycles” on August 16,
2021 using Zoom Video Conferencing. This seminar
was organized by the H.E.J Research Institute of
Chemistry, University of Karachi.
3. Ms. Afsheen Tariq, Assistant Director (STI),
PASTIC Sub-Center Karachi, participated in Webinar
on "Entrepreneurial Environment for Women in
Pakistan", on August 17, 2021 through using Zoom
Video Conferencing. This online webinar was
organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises
Development Authority (SMEDA) Karachi, in
collaboration with the National Bank of Pakistan
