A two days consultative meeting of project
coordinators under the project “Networking and
Capacity Building of Women Entrepreneurs (SMEs)
from SAARC Countries
” was held on March 9-10,
2020 at PASTIC National Centre, Islamabad.

delivering welcome address during the

two-days

consultative meeting of Project coordinators.

PASTIC being the lead implementing agency of the
project, invited the project coordinators participating
in the project from various SAARC member
countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh,
Bhutan and Nepal (online participation). The main
objective of the workshop is to chalk out Portal
Future Sustainability Plan, i.e to devise the future role
and responsibility of all the coordinators regarding
the Awareness and Promotion of “SAARC WE
Portal” among the women entrepreneurs along with
uploading their business and activities information
on the portal.

In addition the Project Coordinators were given a
brief hands-on-training on “SAARC WE Portal”,
including the management of country and
entrepreneurs' pages. Different suggestions, such as
enhancement of usage, coverage and publicity,
alongwith value addition, were also discussed during
this meeting.The foreign participants were also taken
for a round to various PASTIC Sections/Services to
acquaint them about the delivery of various S&T
information services delivered by the organization.

During the closing Session, DG PASTIC, Prof. Dr.
Muhammad Akram Shaikh, presented PASTIC
souvenirs to the foreign delegates.

Workshop on "Research Tools and Techniques
through SPSS"

PASTIC National Centre, Islamabad organized

a two days Training Workshop on "Research

Tools and Techniques through SPSS" on March

11-12, 2020 for researchers to enhance their

research capabilities. Eighteen research

scholars from universities of Rawalpindi and

Islamabad participated in this training program.

At the closing ceremony of the training

program, Director General PASTIC, Prof. Dr.

Muhammad Akram Shaikh distributed the

certificates among the participants.
