Training workshop on “Role of Social Media
Tools for Digital Marketing In Future''
PASTIC Sub-Centre Lahore, in collaboration with Hailey
College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, Lahore,
conducted a one-day training/workshop on “Role of Social
Media Tools for Digital Marketing in Future'' on
December 8,2022.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mubbasher Munawar Khan,
Principal, Hailey College of Commerce and Hailey
College of Banking and Finance, University of the
Punjab, presented the welcome not and shed light on the
importance of social media tools for digital marketing.
Mr. Ali Raza Khan, Additional Director (STI), PASTIC
Sub Centre, Lahore and Dr. Zeeshan Shoukat, Professors,
at Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab,
attend the opening ceremony as the keynote speakers and
both emphasize the role of social media.
Mr. Nadeem Sohail, the resource person, from UMT
Sialkot gives hands-on training for social media to spread
positive news and image about the business. He explained
the role of social media in building relationships and
generating sales and its impact on society. He also
conducted some activities, including making and tagging
groups, Enlisting social media tool kits on charts and
balloon games for the positive lesson. Hafiza Aban Abid
Qazi, Chief Organizer, give concluding remarks and
appreciate the collaboration of PASTIC. At the end of the
workshop, Shields and certificates were distributed among
the dignitaries and Participants respectively.

“Computer Applications In Research''
PATIC Sub Centre Lahore in collaboration of Beacon house
National University, Lahore (BNU). organized one-day
training workshop on “Computer Application In Research''
on December 27, 2022.Total 77 participants attended this
workshop from different faculties/departments of Beacon
House National University, Lahore (BNU).
After recitation of The Holy Quran, Prof. Dr. Tahir Kamran,
Head of Department (DLA), elaborate the importance of
computer application in research and share personal
experience with the audience. He congratulates the
PASTIC and BNU Management/Team for organizing this
wonderful event for the research students of the Beacon
house National University.
Mr. Ali Raza Khan, Additional Director (STI), PASTIC
introduced PASTIC services and explained the role of
Pakistan Science Foundation and PASTIC in capacity
building. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Najmi, Head Department of
library, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore, Campus
was the resource person of workshop.
Chief Guest of the Training/Workshop Prof. Dr. Khawar
Zia, Dean School of Computer & IT Beacon house
University Lahore appreciated the contribution towards
promotion of research culture in University. He valued this
training/workshop and encouraged to arrange such type of
sessions in future to facilitate Faculty Members
Researchers and Scholars.
Resource Person, Dr. Muhammad Tariq Najmi, Head
Department of library, COMSATS University Islamabad,
Lahore Campus, highlighted the importance of “Citation
and literature Management by using Mendeley Software”
and explained how to avoid plagiarism and generate quality
work for the readers.

PASTIC Sub Centre Karachi, with the collaboration of
Directorate of Postgraduate Studies, Dawood University
of Engineering & Technology (DUET) organized a
seminar on “How to Write Review Article”on December
22, 2022.The seminar was participated by more than 70
Researchers including HOD's, faculty members &
postgraduates' students.

Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Ali, Dean Faculty of Engineering,
Mechatronics and Automation Engineerhas given the vote
of thanks at the closing of seminar and appreciate the role
of PASTIC towards research knowledge. He valued this
seminar and encouraged to arrange such type of sessions in
future to facilitate faculty member's researchers and
scholars. At the end, shields were distributed among
guest's and resource persons.

Seminar on “Devastating Floods in Pakistan: Mitigations
and the Way Forward” on December 22, 2022. The Event
was organized by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of
Commerce and amp; Industry (FPCCI) and Society of
Economic Geologists and Mineral Technologists
(SEGMITE) and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). The
main objective of the event is to bring Innovative concepts
the record monsoon rains this year.

Dr. Maryum Ibrar attended a five days Course on
"Manual for Project Development" on December 12-16,
2022 at PPMI from. The Manual for Development Projects
was updated in November 2021 by Planning Commission.
This course was exclusively based on this document with
the objective of capacity building of Government officers
to help improve understanding, efficiency and efficacy of
project management including identification, preparation,
appraisal, approval, funding, implementation, and
monitoring & evaluation etc.
